Metric Conversions
Ballistic Basics will calculate Meters Between Calculations and calculate your Drop in Centimeters when you select Metric in the selection box at the bottom of the Main Window. The values you enter, except for Meters Between Calculations will still need to be entered in U.S. Format to ensure accuracy of calculations so we have added a Metric Converter to make this converting easier for you to do.
You can access this Metric Converter from the Tools Menu of the Main Window or pressing the Ctrl and M keys Simultaneously.
To use the Metric Converter simply type in the metric value of the corresponding field.
The US Standard value will automatically appear in the box next to it.
Then simply click on Use Value to automatically input the converted value to the appropriate input box on the Main Window.
When you are converting meters to yards make sure you select whether you want to add the converted value to the Sight in Range box or Yards Between before clicking the Use Value button. As well, make sure when calculating centimeters to inches you have selected whether to add the converted value to either the OAL or Site Height before clicking the Use Value button.
Once you have inputted all your numbers in the input boxes of the Main Window make sure you have selected Metric by clicking in the Metric selection box at the bottom right side of the Main Window.
Then click on the Run Calc's button. Your calculations, saved files, tables and graphs will now show the necessary information using metric values.
