File Viewer

Once you have Saved your calculations to a file, you may then view the file, in text format, or add or change notes to your saved file using the File Viewer.
To use the File viewer Save your calculations by typing in a name in the File Name input box at the bottom of the Main Form.
Click the Save File ToolbarButton.
Click on the Open Saved File Button or select Open File from the File Menu or the toolbar or press the F6 key.  Your file will appear in text format in the File Viewer.
The text files are complete reloading files based on your inputs and can be printed out by selecting Print from the Text Viewer File Menu and then punched for collection into a binder.
Notes can be added or edited from this window using the Note Edit Area at the bottom of the File Viewer.
To add or change your notes, click on the Add/Change Notes Button or select Add/Change Notes from the File Menu.  Type in your notes in the textbox in the Note Edit Area.  *Note space is limit so try to keep them as short as possible.  Use the Enter key to start a new line.  Keep your lines short as you can only make them as long as the longest line of the calculations for them to print correctly.
Once you have finished adding notes, click the Save Button or select Save Changes from the File Menu. A message box will appear showing what you have added to your notes and how it will appear.
You can also view how your notes will look by scrolling down the File Viewer Window until the Notes section appears below the calculations.
If you have made your lines too long or would like to change your notes, click the Add/Change Button again and modify your notes. You can click the Clear Button to completely clear the notes and start over.                   Once you click the Add/Change Button and decide to cancel the operation you just have to click the Abandon Button. This will cancel the note editing feature.
The File Viewer File Menu also has a recent files list that can contain up to the last six recently opened files. You can quickly open a previously opened file by selecting the one you want to open from the File Menu.
Shutting down, or closing the Ballistic Basics© Program will reset the Recent Files list.
The Ballistic Basics File Viewer allows you to make changes to a file's notes, save it, then decide that wasn't such a good idea.  If this should occur, after making changes and saving them, go to the File Menu and select Restore C:FilesBasicsfile name).btr.
Your old file notes will be restored to what it was previous to the changes.  This can only be done right after you have saved the new notes.
