Ballistic Basics 8.0

This program is designed for the storage of reloading data including rifle, pistol, shotgun, and smoke pole, to both your computer and as hard copy to a binder.

All of your calculations, along with your notes, can be printed out to be stored in a notebook and you can print out targets to use for practice or use the Target Analyzer as a way for you to bring your target home and get a copy of it into your computer to show you how you are doing and analyze your shot placement.

All calculations and graphs can be saved to files that can be stored on your hard drive.

You can edit all Tables and or create your own. ( pro and pro-elite)

You can create custom labels for printing and using on your boxes.

All data files can be backed up to any drive using the Ballistic Basics backup and files can also be saved as CSV files for importing to other spreadsheet programs.

There is even a compression tool to compress your database to save on hard drive space, and a backup utility to prevent loss of data.

A number of Calculator Tools (pro and pro-elite) have been added to help you calculate your ballistic data such as a Ballistic Coefficient Calculator which allows you to calculate BC's from load data or by bullet data, a Metric Converter to help you convert metric units to US standard, a Barrel Length Velocity Change Calculator to estimate the change in velocity between rifles and pistols, a Velocity Drop Calculator to help estimate the loss in velocity to powder drop and an Energy Range Calculator to help you estimate the maximum yardage you can expect from a load that will maintain a specified energy that you input and a Chronograph Calculator that will calculate deviations and averages on each shot of your Chronograph Data. The Recoil Energy Calculator will calculate the recoil energy in foot pounds that you can expect from any load fired from your rifle. We have also included a Hunters Checklist, so you can get on the road with peace of mind that you have everything you need. How far will it go and hit something? Use the Maximum point blank range calculator to find out.

We have also included an Inventory Tracker to help you keep track of all your reloading supplies. It will even remind you when you need to restock any items.

I have found the program to be accurate when compared to other programs of the same caliber.

However no warranty as to the accuracy of the data is expressed or implied.

All features are enabled with the unregistered version but the program will be time limited to 10 days unless registered.

When the program is first run you will be asked if you would like to be informed of updates. Selecting yes will launch your default e-mail client and the subject will be add to list. You need not type anything else, just click send. To change your update status select upgrade notification from the program pull down menu and follow the same procedure as above.

From the Program pull down menu select Report a bug. Your default E-mail program will be launched and the subject will be set to Bug Report. Simply tab to the Body of the letter and enter a description including any error msgs in the body.
